The health and well-being of our guests and our community is our highest priority.   To open our doors safely and responsibly, the Hellenic Community of Brantford has developed a Safety Plan that strictly adheres to the guidelines, regulations and bylaws set out by Government of Ontario, the Ontario Ministry of Health, and the City of Brantford.  We take this situation very seriously and are working hard to ensure that our hall can continue to operate safely.


starting on September 22, 2021, all visitors must show proof of vaccination to enter the facility. There are exceptions to this regulation including the following:


 1. persons with proof of medical exemption

2. children under twelve(12) years of age

3. for a day camp or overnight camp for children described in section 19 of reg. 364/20

4. provider of child care within the meaning of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014

5.  for the purpose of the provision of social services such as health and safety, court services or government purposes.

6. a religious rite or ceremony such as wedding or funeral but not the associated social gathering

In order to comply with the regulations, there will be protocols and procedures all visitors need to be aware of and follow.


1.  Self assess before arriving. Screening questions are available at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/screening/customer/covid-alert.  


2. all Guests will be required to sign that they have completed the assessment and were cleared to enter the facility.


3. All guests must sign in with their full name and phone number. This is a Government requirement for COVID-19 contact tracing measures. This information will be kept on file for 30 days and then shredded.


4. Sanitizer has been provided throughout the facility. Please sanitize when entering the building and after touching surfaces or shared items.


5. Capacity limits will be strictly enforced at every stage of the reopening roadmap :


- During step 1 of the Reopening Roadmap - the hall is closed with the exception of court services,  government services, mental health and addictions support services and social services. The gathering limit for permitted purposes is 10 people.


- During step 2 of the Reopening Roadmap - the hall is closed with the exception of court services, government services, mental health and addictions support services and social services.  The gathering limit for permitted purposes is 10 people.  The hall is open for viewing for potential booking of a future event.


During step 3 of the Reopening Roadmap - the hall is open to Indoor events and meetings with capacity limit of 50% (provided social distancing can be maintained.)

6. Masks must be worn inside the building. They can be removed for eating and drinking but must be worn at all other times. If you forget your mask, one will be provided to you. There are a few exceptions to the mask by-law. 7. Follow floor markers and signs.


8. Social distancing must be maintained from other groups or persons


9. Access is limited to the main hall, foyer and bathrooms. Entry into the chapel, basement, kitchen or other parts of the building is strictly prohibited at this time.


10. Water fountain use is prohibited at this time.


11. Coat room use is prohibited at this time.


12. Three persons are permitted in the bathrooms at one time.


13. Hand dryer use is not permitted at this time. Please use touchless paper towel dispensers.


We require everyone's cooperation and hope that you can understand and appreciate the seriousness of this global pandemic and what we are facing as a community. The legal implications for non-compliance are listed in section 7.0.11 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
